Haribhau Athawale, Past Vice President

Haribhau did Masters in Statistics from Pune University and Diploma in System Analysis from New York University. He joined Indian Army as a gentleman cadet but left it soon to join State Bank of India where he worked for 22 years in various assignments in India and in USA. He also was with Bank of New Zealand for 7 years. After return from USA, he worked for 8 years as the Principal of ICICI Bank’s Training Institute in Pune. Presently he represents 'University of Michigan Business School' in India and coordinates their corporate executive education programs in India. He has been volunteering for SAA since its inception. He has helped SAA with funds and has contributed significantly in SAA’s growth over the years. Haribhau, a former trustee of K.S.Wani Memorial Trust is now their representative in Pune and represents the Trust on SAA's Managing Committee.

Gurudatt Kundapurkar, Past Vice President

Gurudatt had his career in Larsen and Toubro from where he retired as Parts Sales Manager (Western Region) Gurudatt had flair for helping others and during his career with Larsen and Toubro his colleagues often sought his guidance and advice. After his retirement, he wanted to do social work and decided to work for mentally ill through SAA after considering a few options. He had a long inning as SAA’s Vice President and was considered SAA’s think tank. With his creative thinking and with his writing skills, Gurudatt did most of the drafting of various documents and also edited SAA’s house journal and developed its website. Gurudatt opted to retire as SAA’s trustee in 2013 for family reasons. He, however, continues to provide guidance and support whenever required.

Anand Godse

Anand Godse Anand Godse, a commerce graduate from Pune University had his career in accounts department of Cummins Ltd where he held various positions of responsibility. Anand, a resourceful volunteer, has been helping SAA as a volunteer since 2005. After his retirement in 2012, he has taken upon himself additional responsibilities and has been a great help with all-out door work.

Dr. Anuradha Patil

Dr. Anuradha Patil Anuradha worked as Associate Professor, Department of Medical & Psychiatric Social Work, Karve Institute of Social Service, Pune. She is a master trainer of HIV/Aids counseling training. She is also a visiting faculty at Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth and has worked as ethics committee member at NARI. She is now an ethics committee member at B.J. Medical College. Her interest areas are Counselling, Mental Health, Disability & Rehabilitation.

Sushama Datar

Sushama Datar A graduate in psychology and a national level volleyball player, soft spoken Sushama Datar worked as a nursery teacher for many years. A versatile and talented volunteer, she has been volunteering for SAA since 2007. She handles various activities at SAA Rehabilitation Centre including music, craft, warli painting, stitching, embroidery and gardening.

Aruna Deo

Aruna Deo Aruna a full time dedicated volunteer at SAA's Day Care Cum Rehabilitation Centre helps in various day care activities but mainly helps in imparting computer skills and cooking.

Radhika Nagarkar

Radhika Nagarkar A graduate in economics, Radhika is a skilful volunteer who teaches shubharthis with great dedication various skills in making artistic objects and creations on paper and cloth.

Dr. Virag Kulkarni

Dr. Virag Kulkarni Dr. Virag Kulkarni is a well-known medical practitioner and runs 2 private clinics in Pune. He volunteers his time to provide free health checkup at regular intervals to users at SAA’s Day Rehabilitation Centre.

Pranav Joshi

Pranav Joshi Pranav Pradeep Joshi has completed his Master’s Program in Business Administration (MPBA) from The Institute of Management Education with a First Class. He stood first in the Tabla Visharad exam from Gandharva Mahavidyalay, Pune. He regularly accompanies Pandita Padma Talwalkar during her workshops on Classical Music. He conducts regular table and djembe classes for our User Survivors as a form of supported therapy.
